Cookie Policy
This policy explains how we use cookies and similar technologies on LoggerMan.
Last updated: 2026-06-03
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage. We use them where needed to operate the Service and, if you enable them later, for analytics or preferences.
2. Cookies and storage we use
Strictly necessary
These are required for sign-in, security, billing checkout return, and dashboard functionality. They cannot be switched off without breaking the Service.
- Authentication (Clerk) — session and security cookies to keep you signed in, protect your account, and complete OAuth flows.
- Service operation — storage or cookies tied to loading the application, maintaining your session, and remembering UI state (for example sidebar layout preferences stored locally in your browser).
- Payments (Stripe) — when you open checkout or the customer billing portal, Stripe may set cookies or similar technologies to prevent fraud and complete payment (governed by Stripe’s policies).
Analytics (optional)
Optional analytics cookies are off by default. We do not use advertising cookies (e.g. Meta Pixel). If you accept analytics in the cookie banner, we may load privacy-friendly measurement on public pages only — not inside the authenticated dashboard unless described in an updated policy.
3. Legal basis (EEA/UK)
Strictly necessary cookies are used based on legitimate interests and/or performance of our contract with you. Non-essential cookies require consent under the ePrivacy Directive and GDPR when applicable.
4. Managing cookies
You can:
- Clear or block cookies in your browser settings.
- Use browser “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signals — we honor applicable opt-out requirements when non-essential tracking is in use.
- Sign out of LoggerMan to end session cookies tied to authentication.
Blocking necessary cookies may prevent you from using the dashboard or completing checkout.
5. Cookie banner
We show a consent banner on first visit that records your choice in a cookie named loggerman_cc. You can reopen preferences via Cookie settings in the site footer or the manage preferences button in the banner. Until you accept optional categories, only necessary cookies and storage described above are used.
